Four Handsome Young Malaysian Engineers in IES Annual Dinner 2005 - "Viva Las Vegas"

28 October to 30 October 2005

Yes, three of us (Me, Mike n Chee Fui) plus KK from the G&S Southern Branch went down South to our neighbours, Singapore for the IES (The Institution of Engineers, Singapore) Annual Dinner & Dance. My third trip to the dinner and this year's theme was indeed enticing and luring, "Viva Las Vegas". Took the midnight coach and reach Singapore in wee hours in the morning. Had "dim sum" in the cold and quiet Chinatown while waiting for Ir. Cham KS who happens to be in Singapore for some personal matters. So what's next after breakfast? Shopping? nope too tired......and sleepy....... so we went to Starbucks....bought some coffees and took a nap there..hahaha..then we continued to do some window shopping around Orchard Road and end the afternoon checking into our hotel.

The nite.......yes..it's the annual dinner at Ritz Carlton.....as the theme suggest......yes the atmosphere including the backdrop...the counters..the games...everything is based on the Las Vegas theme........something u can't do in Malaysia..hahaha.
They even have a human jackpot game!!!

We were given good company by our host YMC (Young Members' Committee), none other than Chee Yong, their pressie.
And the dinner ends with a really significant and meaningful activity called the "human NETWORK".......something we can use in our upcoming dinner too.... shall tell u all more later...

Second day, was more casual, woke up at almost noon time. Our Southern Branch recruit, KK took us around NUS, Haw Par Villa before we went for another round of shopping at Suntec City.
Night was spent at Clarke Quay & Boat Quay and some drinks at the Chimes...

Third day, a quick breakfast and we are back to Malaysia......................
