Community Service Project

The Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Young Engineer Section is a based non profit organization with the modest goal of touching the lives of people throughout the communities we serve. Our architecture profession has an ethical responsibility to help improve living condition for the poor and the disadvantaged.

Community project was held from 10th August 2007 to 20th August 2007. We, the IEM YES put our educational values to work as citizens of community. We proposed works for replacing existing asbestos roof to metal deck roof c/w
rockwool insulation for 3 blocks of single-storey computer room and dormitories for Pure Life Society which was located at Batu 6, Jalan Puchong.

Here are some of the photos taken throughout the project. Proposed works for replacing the existing asbestos roof to metal deck roof c/w rockwool insulation for 3 blocks of single storey computer room and dormitories for Pure Life Society.

The IEM YES hope to help, at no cost, yet hoping to provide solutions for the communities. Though we are small, working on relatively small project, part of our passion for the organization grows out of a desire to help build and rebuild the underserved communities however possible.

Our goal is not to solve every problem we meet, but rather to inspire others to join the effort through construction of physical attempts.
