On the 26th and 27th of June 2010, the Young Engineers Section organized a retreat as the kick start activity for the newly formed session. The retreat took place at Genting View Resort, foothill of Genting Highland, a perfect place for discussion and brainstorming. The purpose of the retreat is to gather all committee members including co-opted members and volunteers to discuss the strategic plan for this session. There are total 11 members joined the retreat.

During the retreat, the committee has revised the previous portfolio structure of YES, combining Social and Community portfolio and introduced Graduate portfolio to the new structure. The committee has brainstormed on activities to be carried out by portfolios as well as targets to be achieved. One of the outcomes proud to be mentioned was the committee has successfully drafted out the Standard of Procedures (SOP) including forms and checklist as a guideline to the committee to organize activities in near future.
After 1st day's session over, we took picture together in YES t-shirt to show our UNITY.
